Build Smart 2009 - identifying the problems facing construction.

With a theme of ‘Better Construction Through Interoperability’, buildingSMART ME was officially launched at Build Smart 2009 on 15th and 16th November, at the Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

buildingSMART ME is a not for profit organisation that promotes the use of technology and standards to facilitate increases in efficiency and profitability across the construction sector.

The conference identified key problems facing the industry and by using comprehensive case studies, illustrated how buildingSMART processes and technologies can address those issues.

These focused on interoperability in general and more specifically, on BIM as a starting point.
