The Impact of Green Legislation.
Construction in the Middle East would seem to be weathering the current global downturn better than elsewhere. However, the region has not escaped unscathed. Financial pressures necessitate new ways of working that both cut costs and increase quality.

Challenges facing the industry were intensified last year following the decree, by his Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that all buildings in Dubai must be constructed in line with internationally recognised ‘green building’ standards. In this article BIM Journal examines the impact of ‘green’ in the Middle East.

IES were appointed to conduct thermal simulation and analysis of the building using their building analysis software suite the , in order to determine internal thermal comfort conditions, optimise HVAC system performance and verify building safety.
